Guest Lecture on “Management of patient with substance overdose”

Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing, 必威体育betway888 organized an effective alumni engagement Guest Lecture on “Management of patient with substance overdose” on May 12, 2023, between 2.00 pm & 3.00 pm to I year PBBSc Nursing students through Microsoft Teams Platform. Ms. Joyce Machado (BSc (N) Batch: 2013- 2017), MSc (N) Batch: 2018- 2020), Registered Nurse,? Department of Accident and Emergency, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester Foundation.

She spoke on different aspects of the management of patients with substance overdose including side effects, acute overdose, mechanism, treatment regime, factors influencing treatment, and decision on the treatment modalities.

A total of 23 participants from I year PBBSc (N) nursing students and faculty members of the college participated in the session.

Mr Raghavendra, Lecturer, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, MCON expressed gratitude to Ms. Joyce Machado for accepting the invite and sharing her expertise on the subject with the students. The interesting, inspiring, and elaborate session ended at 3:00 pm.
