ORPHANAGE VISIT REPORT
January 20, 2023
The Health and Social Welfare Committee of the Student Nurses’ Association 2022-23, conducted an orphanage visit on 14.01.2023 from 4.00 - 7.00 pm and visited Hosabelaku Seva Trust, Ranganapalke, Karkala.
A total of 30 students participated in the program and the faculty advisor of the committee, Dr.Melita Sheilini coordinated the event. There were around 110 inmates, and all were gathered in one place. We spent time with the inmates by entertaining them with songs, dance, and games. They were provided with a few items for their daily use which were donated by the faculty and students of MCON. Children were distributed with books, pens, pencils, erasers, and crayons. Sweets were distributed to all the inmates.
The feeling of being in their small world, spending time with them, and seeing them happy and joyful was really overwhelming. We expressed our gratitude to the caretakers for taking care of these beautiful souls and for giving us this opportunity to spend some time with them.
