Webinar on “Prevention of Drug Abuse Among College Students”

Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, 必威体育betway888 College of Nursing (MCON), MAHE, 必威体育betway888 has organized a webinar on “Prevention of Drug Abuse among college students” on 28 June 2021 between 4.00 pm & 5.00 pm for the first and second year BSc Nursing students of the college. Mrs Savitha, Assistant Professor-Senior scale, Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, MCON welcomed the participants and introduced the speaker. Dr Binil V, Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, MCON, MAHE, 必威体育betway888 was the resource person. He discussed various aspects of drug abuse emphasizing prevention and how to seek professional help. An educational video on the importance of preventing substance abuse was also screened for the students. The programme was organized as part of the UGC activity- “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” a year-long celebration of the 75th year of Indian Independence. The students clarified their doubts and responded that the program was interactive. A total of 190 students attended the session.
